The learning curve

Hello All!

Here are some more pictures of "E!" He gets cuter by the day!!

Things are going really well. We are so blessed that he is a good sleeper - last night he slept four hours straight and then after eating he slept two more. He likes taking naps on the quilt that his aunt Ellie gave him. He does not, however, like bath time. Contrary to the look on his face in the picture, he cries for most of the bathing experience. We keep the heater on in the bathroom during bathing, meaning E stays warm while we sweat!

Today we are embarking on the adventure of washing cloth diapers (so far, so good!) They are rather absorbent to say the least! :) But E really seems to like them. He is less fussy during changing.

We continue to thank God for His goodness. He is giving us strength each day to learn what E needs and still stay healthy ourselves. There are a lot of lessons to learn, but we know that God is infinitely wise and gracious!

More details to come later...

Hello!

"K" and I started this blog last July and have never posted on it! With the addition of "E" to our family we thought that it was about time!

"E" arrived Tuesday morning just before 6:00 am weighing in at 8 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 21 1/2 inches long! He is a very strong little boy. One nurse said that she had never seen a new born who was so strong! "K" always said that it hurt when he kicked on her stomach and rib cage, and now I can see why!

"K's" mom is here through Sunday morning and we have been very blessed to have her extra set of hands here to help. We were also so thankful that my folks were also able to be here for the birth and stay for a day. Our little family of three is so blessed to be loved by so many!

Right now "K" and her mom are doing a Wal-Mart run, and "E" is home with Daddy. "E" is so amazing! As I look down at him I am amazed at how good God is. "E" is so perfect! Everything from his little hands and feet to his adorable little "uni-dimple" on his left cheek that will show up once in a while when he smirks! Even his diaper explosions are amazing! :) The verses in Psalms about being knit together in our mother's womb and about being fearfully and wonderfully made take on entirely new and profound meaning when one becomes a parent!

Well I think "E" might be making a mess in his diaper again so I better attend to him!

Love,

L,K, and E
