Blown Away!

Hello All!

Yesterday and Friday the wind was blowing steadily around 30 mph with gusts up to 40! Chicago is known as the windy city but I think we here equally deserves this honor! In spite of the wind we are very thankful that we got our garage painted yesterday. K worked in the flower beds, and I planted tomatoes and peppers. Our home continues to take shape.

Z took his first stroller ride this weekend. The wind was a little brisk, but he seemed to enjoy the sunshine and the singing birds. He continues to grow stronger! At his doctor's appointment this week he measured 23 inches and weighed 9 lbs. 7 oz. It's amazing how fast he is growing! He also received his first shot this week. I am not sure whether it hurt him or K more! She said his little face turned crayon red and then he just started screaming. Thankfully it did not take long to calm back down.

These pictures are from Mother's day. Z gave K pink roses, but he didn't let her stay for the entire sermon...her new dress felt warm and wet half way through. :) That evens the score for all the times he has soaked me.

Thanks for reading and God bless!

Greetings from the “Land of 10,000 Lakes!”

Hello!

I am taking New Testament Intro II at the seminary this week. “K,” “E” and I are staying at my parent’s farm in MN. Classes are going well. Your prayers would definitly be appreciated as we are cramming an entire semester’s class into five days! There are three tests, five quizzes, and two papers due this week! God is being so faithful though (as always!) It is amazing how much information God enables a person to retain as they are studying His Word. I have no doubt that if I was studying something else I would not remember it nearly as easily!

“E” is still doing so well! He is still sleeping 4-5 hours straight from about 9:00 on and then another 3-4 after a night feeding! We are very thankful for each night of rest! Today he is eating about every hour and half and going through clothes at about the same rate! He is on outfit #4 already! He is getting cuter every day. When he was born he had black hair and since it has steadily been getting lighter. He is a medium/light brown now. It is going to be fun to see what his final color will be!

Well, it is time to hit the books! (50 pages down and 250 to go!)

God’s Grace to All!

~“L," “K” and “E”
